orgu - Get organised today with the simplest
online to do list
on the web

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How much does orgu cost?

It's completely free!

Which web browsers does orgu work on?

orgu is designed to meet all web standards and so should work on all the latest versions of various web browsers.
However we have found that it works best on MS Internet Explorer and Firefox and these are the main browsers we have tested the site on.
If you do find any problems with the layout or functionality, please send us a description of the problem
(ideally with a screenshot) to support@orgu.co.uk and we will investigate and get back to you asap.

Is there a user guide or help pages?

Simple answer is 'no' because we believe we've designed orgu to be so simple to use you won't need it!
If you do have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@orgu.co.uk.

What is 'orgu for couples'?

We have designed orgu to allow you to share lists and tasks with your boyfriend, girlfriend,
husband, wife, best friend, work colleague or 'special someone'! This allows couples to keep track of their 'to do' lists.
You can either setup your partner's details during the registration process or add them from the 'Shared' tab later.

Can I share lists with more than one person?

Simple answer is 'No' because orgu has been specifically designed to allow couples to share lists and tasks quickly and easily.
However we are currently looking into an enhancement ('Team OrgU') which would allow users to share with more than one person.
If you're interested in this idea or have any other suggestions or requests, please send us an email to ideas@orgu.co.uk and we'll get back to you soon.

Why is orgu sometimes slower than normal?

The website uses the lasest web technology (including 'AJAX' for the techies out there) and our servers are setup to support many, many users.
However as with all websites, each user experience will depend on your own connection to the internet.
We are constantly looking at ways of making the site as fast as possible but if you are consistently experiencing problems,
please contact us at support@orgu.co.uk and we'll check there aren't any problems with your account.

Can I access orgu from my mobile?

Yes! orgu can be accessed from any mobile that has an internet browser (which is pretty much any mobile bought in the last 2 years!)
Simply go to the website www.orgu.co.uk/mobile.aspx on your mobile and you will be able to view and manage your lists from anywhere!
We don't charge anything for accessing the site - the only charge will be if your mobile phone provider charges you for access to the internet.

Can I export my lists and tasks?

Not yet but we are working on an enhancement that will allow you to export or email your tasks quickly and easily.
Eventually you will also be able to upload tasks from your own spreadsheet or from other 'to do list' websites to make moving to orgu simple!

The layout looks wrong and some things don't look like they are in the right place?

As mentioned above, orgu is designed to meet all web standards and so should work correctly on all the latest versions
of various web browsers and works particularly well on MS Internet Explorer v7 or v8 and Firefox v3.
We suggest if you are having problems and you have an older version then upgrade to the latest one.
It's free to upgrade and should be quick and easy - click here for Microsoft Internet Explorer, and here for Mozilla Firefox
We are committed to fix any problems with any other browsers so please do send us a description of any problems
(ideally with a screenshot) to support@orgu.co.uk and we'll investigate and get back to you soon.

Who created and owns orgu?

orgu is owned and maintained by Grove Lane Enterprises, a software development company based in London, England.

More questions will be added as and when they're raised by you, the users!

Got a question or problem not covered above?

Please send an email to support@orgu.co.uk and we will get back to you with an answer asap.

Coming soon! (or maybe not - you decide!)

Although we will always ensure that orgu is kept simple and easy to use, we are always looking at ways to make it that bit better.
Below are a few suggestions we're received - if you have a better idea, we'd love to know what you think, so please email your ideas:

  • Email reminders - Setup your preferences so that orgu sends you an email either every day, week or month with the details of your open tasks.
  • Export - Allow you to download and export your lists and tasks to be viewed in your favourite work processing or spreadsheet application, or to simply print.
  • team orgu - Enables managers and team leader to setup their employees into teams, assign work and track progress
  • Setup repeatable tasks, e.g. pay bill on 1st of each month, or reminder 2 weeks before birthday every year
  • Downloadable mini-orgu application to manage your tasks offline or manage them without having to use a web browser
  • Automatically create a task by forwarding an email to a given email address
  • Setup your interest and favourite events, bands, teams, etc. and orgu will automatically tell you about upcoming events

What alternatives are there to orgu?

None our users believe are as simple and easy to use as orgu ...

Why would we tell you about our competitors?

Well, although we believe we've created the simplest and easiest to use online to do list on the web,
we know that most people like to do some window shopping before making a decision!

We also realise that you may need a site with more widgets, bells and whistles, and so we won't
take it too personally if you take a look at any of the following alternatives:
